We aim to enable and encourage all of our pupils, whatever their ability, to achieve their potential through academic, social, cultural and physical experiences. To celebrate success and achievement in all areas of school life. To encourage the development of a responsible and confident approach to life through participation in a caring, supportive and disciplined environment.

To equip all of our pupils with the knowledge, skills and understanding which will enable them to enjoy full lives in a changing world.

To develop imagination, spiritual awareness creativity and discernment throughout the curriculum. Encourage respect for religious and moral values, tolerance of other cultures, religions and races. To support community awareness and involvement. We welcome a shared commitment with parents to the education of our young people, through openness, communication and a genuine partnership. To nurture and support those characteristics which enhance relationships - humour, compassion, understanding and thoughtfulness. To seek and ensure smooth progression from our feeder Primary Schools and our post-16 institutions through effective relationships.



We take eSafety very seriously at Endon High School. We have systems in place to protect our pupils from the potential risks & dangers of using the Internet and electronic forms of communication. Our ICT Department deliver lessons throughout the year which identify & discuss eSafety concerns and advise our pupils how to stay safe.

To ensure that we can offer the best protection for our pupils, an eSafety group meet regularly to discuss eSafety issues and latest trends that we feel we may need to make our pupils aware of. We have also established a pupil group of eSafety Ambassadors who frequently attend meetings to give a pupil perspective of possible issues and any areas of concerns that they feel staff should investigate. We also have a dedicated area within our school VLE ( Firefly) where pupils,and parents are offered a range of resources to help them staying safe online and helping their children stay safe using the different forms of electronic media.


All Endon High School staff receive suitable eSafety training to advise our pupils of the official routes to take should they have an eSafety concern such as the CEOP website. We also operate an internal reporting system called NetSafe which allows pupils to report concerns to designated Safeguarding memers of staff. We have buddies who are actively encouraged to discuss and assist pupils using the reporting system.

Endon High School is a very popular school situated in a semi-rural location between Leek and Stoke on Trent. It enjoys an excellent reputation locally for its high academic standards, its pastoral ethos and extra-curricular opportunities.

This is a full time position with a 0.6fte teaching responsibility

We are looking to appoint an outstanding SENCO with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed, who will be responsible for leading the SEND team, including the Assistant SENCO, in this crucial role in school. This is an excellent opportunity to join and lead an established team in our friendly and inclusive school. This is a key leadership post and the successful applicant will have a clear vision and be able to steer the development of the SEND department. Candidates must have a demonstrable commitment to breaking down barriers to learning by leading staff and using identified resources in effective and creative ways to meet the requirements of individual students with additional and different needs. The strategic aim is to ensure that students are able to access the curriculum whatever their learning or behavioural need.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified SENCO or someone with a willingness to achieve the National SENCO Award.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations; their teaching commitment will be determined with due regard to their subject specialism. They will lead relevant inset to develop materials and strategies for effective differentiated provision throughout the curriculum. They will share our commitment to ensuring all Endon High School teachers are skilled in supporting Outstanding Achievement for children with SEND through quality first teaching.
