It is our belief that the school curriculum is essential in determining, moulding and empowering the young people we would want to turn out in order that they can take their place in society as responsible citizens and confident lifelong learners.

The curriculum has at its heart the notion that to develop young people in a rounded way there is a need to develop them socially, intellectually, physically, aesthetically, musically, spiritually and culturally. To meet this end we have a comprehensive programme of subjects in what we call the taught curriculum; a raft of opportunities to have fun and engage in lifelong learning in the extended curriculum; a rich diet of personal, cultural and spiritual experiences in the personal development curriculum and a specialised programme of opportunities in our alternative provision curriculum.

We believe that having a rich variety of opportunity in this way, we create the possibility of individualised and personalised pathways into further education or the world of work, for our young people.


Life in Modern Britain
Endon High School actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. This is achieved through the effective spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils, including through our L4L curriculum, extra curricular activity and work within our local community.
