Music and PE trip to Manchester 2023

Year 8 and Year 9 Music and PE trip to Manchester

As part of our March Assessment Period enrichment programme, 200 Year 8 and 9 students and Endon High School staff enjoyed a day of culture in Manchester, attending a morning concert given by the Hallé Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall and spending an afternoon at the National Football Museum.  As you can see from our photos, the students had a wonderful time watching the performances and learning about our national sport.

Billy in Year 9 said of the concert: “It was good to experience something new at the Hallé orchestra concert - it felt unique to see see them perform live and I liked that it was interactive. My favourite piece from the concert soul Bossa Nova because I enjoyed getting involved with the dancing!” Olivia in Year 9 said “I really liked the sensory card that went with the four seasons pieces. I felt very inspired by the solo violinist Gustav; his playing was spectacular!”

Reflecting on the visit to the National Football Museum, Tyler in Year 8 said “The penalty shoot out was my favourite at the national football museum, because I liked getting involved with the exhibits. It was good seeing the older trophies on display and I loved sitting in the original Wembley seats!”
