The Students Become The Teacher!
As part of their Unit 3 Appraising work for their GCSE Music, Year 10 students were set the challenge in Curriculum Period 3 to plan and deliver mini lessons to the rest of the class - this required the students to analyse parts of their Baroque Era set work "Badinerie" by JS Bach independently and make their own lesson resources for their classmates to use. The Year 10 students also rose to the challenge of writing their own Musical Theatre song in which they demonstrated a variety of vocal techniques while singing lyrics which explained the key characteristics of the genre itself. Mrs Reardon-Davies was very impressed indeed by their creativity, excellent subject knowledge and their enthusiastic pedagogic approach!
