Year 8 Marine Scientist Q&A session
Y8 had the fab opportunity during form time today to have a live session where they could ask questions to a marine scientist, through the Zoological Society of London. His research is on fish and local fishing impacts on their wildlife in Fiji. Pupils asked some fantastic questions and learnt about many aspects of what it is like to work as a marine scientist including how to weigh a fish and what a shipwreck is like! He shared his unique pathway into the role after overcoming barriers during his younger years. His takeaway message to the pupils was all about being persistent and that if you want to, you really can do anything!
